This was a slice of a microwaved CD-R, scanned at 1800 dpi. CD-Rs tend to delaminate when microwaved.

Notes:

Scanning was done with a PrimeFilm 1800i slide/film scanner with maximum optical resolution of 1800 dpi. CDs were microwaved in a Panasonic microwave. Slices suitable for scanning were cut with a common hatchet.
